Where is everyone?-
I harvested sunchokes & began prepping the soil to plant some spinach & maybe some lettuce. The rest of the garden will be a holding area for fresh mulch from the chipper.This entry is about Heathentim's Vegetable Bed garden.

I have a couple of old roses that I have inherited with the house. They are very tall, have some rust problems and flower ever year. How far can I cut them back without killing them? What else can I do to get them healthier? SabineThis question is about Sabine's Backyard Left garden.

I got another small batch of ripe chilies. The heat is slowing down production, but a few of them make it.

I took down the cucumbers in the West garden. It was going nowhere, but I manage to get a couple dozen cucumbers of it. I am not sure what happen, but the young fruit was yellowing and not maturing. I think it was the heat. I still have the cucumbers in the East garden and it they are doing o...

The cucumbers in the West Garden need to go. They have been unproductive for weeks now. All the immature fruit turns yellow and are distorted. I am not sure what the case is. Too hot, too much water, not enough water, or evil bugs. It’s time to move on.

the heat is unbearable. the plants in Kerosine Alley just can’t take this inferno. i move all of them in to a shady area. they still direct sunlight, but later in the day. the sandals like the shade too.
