The chickadees hadn’t been around much for a while but they returned en masse today. They were mostly black capped chickadees but their were some chestnut backed chickadees to. I love chickadees. Well, it was obvious that the rest of my tomatoes weren’t going to ripen, and I still had a few tomatillo fruits, and some thai chilies that were still green. Picked ’em all and made a sweet chutney.This entry is about Cramsay's Vegetable garden.

So far this year: Dark-Eyed Junco, Spotted Towhee, Black-Capped Chickadee, Chestnut-Backed Chickadee, White Crowned Sparrow, Bushtit, House Finch, Redbreasted Nuthatch, Northern Flicker, Sharp-Shinned Hawk. After i fed the birds today i sat inside and watched them for quite some time. The resident sharp-shinned hawk decided to make an appearance and swooped down right in front of the window after a sparrow. It’s amazing how fast they move, he came and was gone in a flash.
