When we first purchased this house, the only thing on this oddly-shaped hill between the house and the stairs leading to the door was a tangle of dead weeds and old mulch. The inaugural planting was a Yoshino cherry sapling, which has quickly filled out. (and first bloomed in 2013) The Buddleja and Lavender were planted later into the summer and bloomed not long after their planting. The columbine and Siberian Iris (’Caesar’s Brother’) first bloomed in later spring of 2013)
At the bottom of the hill various spring bulbs were planted in the fall of 2013 and also bloomed the following spring.
