Fence Garden

Fence built by previous owners to keep a dog in. Useless for keeping out rabbits or groundhogs! It also had a lovely double gate for letting equipment in, and two smaller gates, but they were all close to the house. We added a gate far from the house, as well as three bluebird houses spaced. The field swallows claimed one and keep other field swallows away, leaving the other two available and bluebirds did move in.
The fence was built with no garden, which meant lots of weedeating to keep grass low, difficult because of the style. I have been adding garden area beneath it by moving the sod to areas that needed it, and moving plants from overgrown areas into the new beds.

An outdoor organic garden located in west chester, 19382, United States, janietta's Fence garden currently contains 2 plants.

This is a Butterfly garden that is known to be in USDA Hardiness Zone 6b. It has mainly Sandy Loam soil and receives Full Sun light.
